Enjoy this unique opportunity to photograph resident and migratory birds in their natural habitat. Starting from Ozello, our Captain will navigate through the backwaters, home to many indigenous species that reside in our mangroves, palms, and out islands to the Homosassa River.

This area teems with Great Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, American White Ibis, Green Herons, Wood Storks, Double Crested Cormorants, Pelicans, and so much more. We are home to a resident American Eagle population all along the Homosassa River from the mouth of the Gulf of Mexico to the Spring Head.

In the winter you may see Swallow-tailed Kites, White Pelicans and the magnificent Frigate - with a wingspan of 8 feet or more!

From the vantage point of our pontoon, birds are less likely to be "spooked" because they are accustomed to boating activity, making this perfect for that "once-in-a-lifetime" photograph!
